Michael Osborne

After nearly 30 years in private practice Michael has acquired enormous experience across areas of law including company law, trusts, tax, crime, succession planning and estate administration, and litigation. A well known legal drafter, he’s often asked to negotiate and draft complex and unique commercial transactions.
Michael’s particular specialty is property development – structuring and documenting the acquisition and sale of the site, and the associated work: joint venture or shareholder agreements, building contracts, development management agreements, financing and security, leasing, advice on stamp duty and GST, and off the plan sales.
Well known and respected within his fields of expertise, Michael is an accredited property specialist, and has extensive practical experience in most aspects of property law, including options, sales, acquisitions, strata and community title and commercial and retail leasing.
Michael takes seriously his role as an expert in his industry and gives back knowledge whenever he can, contributing as a member and chair of committees in various aspects of property law. His current positions include:
- Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Law Society of NSW for the specialist accreditation scheme in property
- Member of the Property Committee of the Law Society
Michael has degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney. For the period 1996 to 2000 he served as President of the Liberal Party of Australia, New South Wales Division and was a member of the Federal Executive.
